The Cangrejal River is a nature lover's dream bordered to the west by Pico Bonito National Park, and to the east by Nombre de Dios National Park. Lodging options are varied from community-run cabins, to all-inclusive jungle lodges.

Places to stay:
La Villa de Soledad: 4 well appointed double rooms in a beautiful house on a hill overlooking the river. Quiet, secluded, private, romantic, and the owners are a charm and can help you plan all of your activities.
Omega Tours and Lodge: very cool, eclectic room designs, great restaurant and jungle swimming pool. A great tour outfitter if you want to do whitewater rafting, horseback riding, etc. Very socially-minded and eco-conscious
Las Cascadas Lodge: all-inclusive jungle hotel with beautiful cabins. Very private. Featured activity is the waterfall descent and canyoning adventures
Cabanas del Bosque: located in the community of Las Mangas, it's run by a community organization. Rustic, yet clean and comfortable cabins with terraces with hammocks. The meals in the restaurant use simple ingredients, are fresh and very tasty.
